OPENING
How do I open an account?
To begin trading today, please complete our online
application form, which you can access if you click
here. The form is completely secure and will take
you about 10 minutes to complete. We then conduct
an electronic check to confirm your identity and address.
You will know if your account has been activated within
½ hour of applying (assuming you do so between
0800 and 1730, Monday to Friday).
If you are a UK resident, and we are unable to confirm
that you reside at the address you have produced in
your application form, we will require additional
information in the form of an original, recent bank
statement or utility bill. If you are a non-UK resident,
we will require proof of your address AND a copy of
your passport/driving license. You can fax these documents

What type of account can I have?
E*TRADE Spread Betting offer deposit accounts, which
means that you can begin trading once you have deposited
funds into your account.
If you would like to hold an account in another currency
(Sterling/US Dollar/Euro) or if you are interested
in holding a corporate account, please contact our

Can somebody else trade on my account?
Yes, you can nominate a family member or friend
by completing a Power of Attorney form. Please contact
us for further details.

What hours can I trade?
We are open for trading from 07:00am until 21:15pm,
Monday to Friday. You can find details of the trading
